Designer Willy Chavarria has unveiled his latest collaboration with Ugg, introducing a collection that reimagines the brand’s signature aesthetic through an edgy biker lens. The line swaps the company’s traditional soft sheepskin for bold black leather, featuring a range of styles including guard boots, biker boots, relaxed boots, clogs, and slippers. Priced between $190 and $800, the pieces also incorporate chrome accents and durable Vibram soles, along with branded accessories like socks and t-shirts.
The Mexican-American designer announced the partnership in August, and the collection is now available for purchase. The campaign showcases the collaboration through a sitcom-inspired visual featuring musicians Ivan Cornejo and Becky G, alongside actors Danny Trejo and Eva Longoria. Chavarria described the offering as “fierce and friendly,” positioning it as a tribute to the rebellious spirit he seeks to celebrate through his work.
Known for integrating Chicano and Latino influences throughout his designs, Chavarria continues this tradition with the Ugg line. The collaboration reflects the designer’s broader approach to fashion, which has previously drawn inspiration from zoot suits and religious imagery. This partnership adds to Chavarria’s growing portfolio of collaborations, including previous work with brands like Adidas, Zara, and Pro Club, while maintaining his reputation as an outspoken advocate for immigrant and LGBTQ rights.
