Julien Baker is preparing for an extensive fall tour featuring extended residencies across six cities. Beginning October 15 in Salt Lake City, the singer will perform three consecutive nights in each location through November 21 in Seattle. The month-long trek will take her to Cambridge, Massachusetts; Carrboro, North Carolina; Athens, Georgia; and Lawrence, Kansas, in addition to the Salt Lake City and Seattle stops.
The tour announcement comes after Baker recently made several surprise stage appearances. She performed an unannounced show Wednesday at Nashville’s Blue Room, where she was joined by longtime musical partners Matt Gilman and Calvin Lauber, who will also accompany her throughout the residency tour. At that performance, Baker showcased material from her solo discography alongside four previously unreleased compositions she has been developing in the studio.
This marks Baker’s return to touring following an extended hiatus. The artist largely stepped away from performing after boygenius concluded their tour in 2024, and subsequently canceled summer 2025 dates to prioritize her health and well-being. Her gradual return to live performance began with a solo concert in Nantucket, Massachusetts in late August, followed by a guest appearance at an Outside Lands festival show featuring bandmate Lucy Dacus.
Baker’s upcoming performances will draw from her complete musical catalog alongside the new material she has recently created. Her most recent solo album, “Little Oblivions,” was released in 2021.
