The popular culture podcast “How Long Gone” is launching its inaugural awards ceremony, “The Goneies,” scheduled for September 15 at Racket NYC in Manhattan. Hosted by Chris Black and Jason Stewart, the event will celebrate achievements across entertainment and media with an intimate gathering format.
Grammy-winning music producer Brad Cook will lead the house band and serve as musical director for the ceremony. The show promises to feature celebrity guests and unexpected musical performances throughout the evening, with ticket availability opening at 9 a.m. Eastern Time.
This marks another expansion of the “How Long Gone” brand, which already includes over 1,000 podcast episodes, live events, and performances. The venture represents what organizers claim is the first cultural awards show presented by a podcast, with a focus on recognizing talent across music, entertainment, and media. Talkhouse, the organization backing the event, emphasized the significance of bringing the podcast community together for the inaugural ceremony.
