David Letterman’s Netflix interview series is gearing up for its seventh season with an impressive lineup of high-profile guests. The late-night host will conduct in-depth conversations with actor Matt Damon, actress Julia Roberts, fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, and rock climber Alex Honnold for “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman.”
Each guest brings unique circumstances to their interviews. Damon is currently promoting his film “The Odyssey,” which is expected to garner awards recognition, while Roberts is not actively publicizing a project. Kimmel will sit down with Letterman during his summer hiatus from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and the two hosts may discuss recent developments in late-night television. Honnold recently completed a Netflix climbing special called “Skyscraper Live.”
The upcoming season continues the show’s tradition of hosting notable figures. The series has featured 31 episodes across its previous six seasons and four specials, interviewing luminaries including Barack Obama, Jay-Z, Billie Eilish, and others. The program has received eight Emmy nominations throughout its run, winning one award in 2024, with the sixth season currently in consideration for outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special.
