Rutgers University has unveiled a comprehensive guide outlining modifications to the gameday experience for the upcoming 2026 football season at SHI Stadium. The athletics department released information about several adjustments fans should expect when attending matches this year.
Significant changes to parking operations will take effect, with Johnson Park no longer available as a parking location under the revised parking strategy. To accommodate fans in outer lots, the university will introduce a new shuttle service operating from the Busch campus. The shuttle will begin pickups three hours before kickoff at the intersection of Brett Road and Bartholomew Road, transporting attendees to a drop-off point near Athletes Glen, with service continuing for one hour after games conclude. The existing ADA shuttle service will continue operating at established locations.
The concession offerings at the stadium have also expanded considerably for the 2026 season. Rutgers will now feature cocktail selections including margaritas, moscow mules, and rum punches available at multiple stadium locations. Additionally, new canned beverage options such as Spikeade’s and Sun Cruiser’s have been added to inventory. A new concession venue called Behind Enemy Lines will specialize in locally-brewed beers from New Jersey alongside a selection from the opposing team’s home state.
For comprehensive details about all gameday modifications, fans are encouraged to review the complete Know Before You Go guide available through the official Rutgers athletics website.
