Customers can obtain a free iPhone 17e by switching to most qualifying T-Mobile plans, requiring no device trade-in. Those on Experience More or Experience Beyond plans can secure a standard iPhone 17 by submitting an eligible phone for trade-in. The iPhone 17 Pro becomes free when subscribers port their existing phone numbers to an Experience Beyond plan, with no trade-in requirement.
While marketed as “free,” customers must cover local sales tax on the device’s full retail price along with a $35 connection fee per line at the point of sale. Despite these additional charges, the offer remains a substantial savings compared to standard retail pricing for Apple’s latest smartphone lineup.
