North Carolina indie rock band Wednesday is marking the one-year anniversary of their sixth studio album “Bleeds” with an expanded deluxe edition arriving this Friday, September 18. The reissue will feature 20 tracks total, combining material from the original album alongside previously unreleased demos and remixed versions from notable artists.
The band has already unveiled “June 2 (Early Version)” as a preview of the deluxe release. Produced by Kenny Beats, the track showcases the band’s signature sound and has become a regular fixture in their live performances throughout 2026. The deluxe edition also includes remixes from notable musicians such as Animal Collective’s Avey Tare, who reimagines “Carolina Murder Suicide,” along with contributions from other electronic and indie artists.
Wednesday continues an active touring schedule this fall, appearing alongside acts including Tyler Childers and Mannequin Pussy on various dates. The group has also secured festival appearances scheduled for early 2027, maintaining momentum following the album’s successful initial release last year. Lead member Karly Hartzman has previously described her songwriting approach as continuous and inspired by everyday experiences and observations.
