A technology company has launched a new platform designed to streamline how brands work with content creators on short-form video advertisements. The service allows advertisers and influencers to license and reuse creator likenesses across multiple promotional campaigns, reducing the need for synthetic or AI-generated personalities in advertising.
Called creatorAPI, the tool enables individual creators to set boundaries around how their image, voice, and performance can be used in advertisements. Creators can specify which products, topics, and creative approaches are acceptable, while brands gain flexibility to produce and test various video versions featuring the same creator within those parameters. This approach addresses a growing concern about artificial influencers flooding social media feeds.
According to Chris Giliberti, CEO and co-founder of Avail, the platform aims to restore authenticity to influencer marketing. “Advertising used to be about authenticity,” Giliberti explained, noting the importance of using real people rather than synthetic alternatives. The system also benefits brands by allowing them to generate multiple content variations from a single creator, streamlining the testing process that typically requires numerous attempts to identify successful campaigns.
The platform has already begun collaborating with Night Media, a talent management company, and popular AI-focused creator Emily Higgins. As the creator economy continues its projected growth toward $480 billion by 2027, this technology offers a solution for both influencers and marketers seeking efficient, authentic advertising collaboration.
