Warner Music India has announced the second season of “Maati,” its folk music initiative dedicated to preserving traditional sounds from across the subcontinent. The new season officially launched on September 3, featuring eight tracks performed in different regional languages including Koshur, Hindi, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Telugu, Haryanvi, Urdu and Kannada.

The composition comes from Anurag Saikia, with vocals by Jyoti Nooran and lyrics by Shakeel Azmi. Season 2 brings together a diverse roster of musicians representing both established and emerging folk artists from various regions and traditions. Each track is designed with particular attention to its geographical and cultural origins, with the visual presentation closely tied to the communities and landscapes connected to each musical style.
