Panorama Studios is venturing into Tamil-language cinema with its first production in the genre, a psychological horror film currently in production in London. The project stars acclaimed Indian actress Trisha Krishnan alongside veteran performers Radhika Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali. Helmed by director Raja Krishna Menon, known for films including “Airlift” and “Chef,” this marks his initial exploration of the psychological horror genre and his first Tamil-language project.
The film is being presented through a collaborative effort involving Panorama Studios, Locomotive Global, Fusion Flicks, and various producers including Kumar Mangat Pathak, the founder and chairman of Panorama Studios. According to Pathak, the studio deliberately chose a bold, original story rooted in Tamil cinema culture for this inaugural regional production. The director emphasized that the project represents multiple firsts for him, including his first film centered entirely around female characters.
This Tamil production expands Panorama Studios’ growing footprint in South Indian cinema. The studio has previously invested in Malayalam-language films such as “Anomie,” “Unmadham,” and “Tiki Taka,” with additional Malayalam projects currently in development. The as-yet-untitled psychological thriller is expected to attract international audiences, with further details about the film’s title and release timeline anticipated in the coming months.
