Sunny Hostin, co-host of ABC’s “The View,” has become one of the most prominent public figures to partner with an artificial intelligence entertainment company. The television personality signed a licensing agreement with Fountain 0, an AI startup, granting the company rights to adapt her novels into films and television productions that may feature her digitally rendered image.
Fountain 0 has already garnered attention in the entertainment industry with projects including “Dreams of Violets” and “Odysseus: The Fall,” both created using artificial intelligence technology. Under the partnership, Hostin will maintain creative control over which of her works are developed and how her likeness appears in any productions. The arrangement represents a significant shift in how artificial intelligence is being licensed within the entertainment sector, expanding beyond traditional intellectual property to include celebrity likenesses themselves.
Hostin expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, describing the technology as a groundbreaking artistic medium that liberates creators from budgetary limitations. She emphasized her interest in bringing diverse stories to audiences she believes are underserved by traditional Hollywood productions. This move follows previous attempts by Hostin to develop her literary works for screen through her production company, Roots & Wings Productions.
