Sister Group has entered into a production and distribution partnership with Amol Rajan, the host of the quiz program “University Challenge.” The collaboration was revealed at the Edinburgh TV Festival during remarks by Rajan, who previously held the position of media editor at the BBC.
The inaugural project emerging from this partnership is titled “The Amol Rajan Connection,” which will be produced at the Koko venue in Camden, where Sister holds a stake. Rich Waterworth and Bryony Hopkins, executives at Sister with backgrounds in digital media and content production, will guide the initiative, with Waterworth overseeing strategic direction and Hopkins managing production operations.
Sister Group, a multimedia company encompassing television, film, podcasts and publishing, was established in 2019 by Liz Murdoch and Jane Featherstone. The organization operates under the conviction that supporting creative talent across multiple platforms drives innovation in the industry. Leadership praised Rajan’s vision and creative approach, emphasizing alignment between his forward-thinking projects and the company’s mission to develop ambitious content for contemporary audiences.
