Pop group Katseye has withdrawn from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival, which is scheduled to take place this Saturday in Irvine, California. The band announced the decision through a statement shared on social media, citing a medical issue as the reason for their last-minute cancellation.
Member Megan Skiendiel sustained an ankle injury during rehearsal for the group’s upcoming tour. Following medical evaluation, doctors recommended she rest and avoid performing to allow proper healing before their scheduled shows. Katseye expressed disappointment about missing the festival, describing the difficult decision in their announcement to fans.
In their statement, the group emphasized their excitement about the event’s broader mission beyond music, noting its focus on community and charitable causes. They extended their support to Rodrigo and other participating artists and organizations involved in organizing the festival. Santigold has been added to the schedule to fill the performance slot that Katseye vacated at 2:15 p.m. on the Dandelion Stage.
The band is currently preparing for their “Wildworld” tour, which launches in Dublin on September 1. The European leg runs through mid-September before moving to North American dates in October. Katseye recently achieved their first Billboard 200 chart-topper with their album “Wild.”
