Emmy-nominated actress J. Smith-Cameron has signed on to join the cast of “Law & Order: SVU” for its upcoming Season 28. The acclaimed performer will take on a recurring role as jury consultant Gwen Sharpe, though additional details about her character’s storyline remain undisclosed at this time.
Smith-Cameron is widely recognized for her portrayal of Gerri Kellman throughout four seasons of HBO’s “Succession,” a role that garnered her multiple accolades including two Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, and a Critics Choice Award nomination. She also earned two Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding ensemble performances in a drama series.
The actress maintains an active presence in both television and film. She recently appeared in “Hacks,” “Elsbeth,” and “Murdaugh: A Death in the Family,” and has several projects in development, including the FX series “Seven Sisters” alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Cristin Milioti.
