Hamilton West Side Little League advanced to the United States semifinals of the Little League World Series on Wednesday with a commanding performance against Alabama. The Great Lakes Region representative, based in Ohio, defeated the Southeast Region’s Alabama team with a final score of 11-2 in competition held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The Ohio squad maintained control throughout the matchup, never allowing Alabama to take the lead. Hamilton struck first when Jack McAdams delivered a two-run single in the opening inning. The team added more runs in the fifth inning, with Bob Frazier contributing an RBI single and Parker Osborne extending the lead with a two-run single that put Hamilton ahead 7-1.
Looking ahead, Hamilton will face Iowa in the next round of competition scheduled for Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. The winner of that contest will advance directly to the United States championship game scheduled for Saturday, positioning the victor one victory away from claiming the national title.
