T-Mobile is offering substantial discounts on foldable smartphones that rival the newly announced iPhone Duo, which launches October 23 at a $1,999 starting price. Samsung and Motorola’s foldable devices are already available with significant savings through the carrier’s trade-in programs.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 can be obtained at no cost for customers who trade in an eligible device and subscribe to T-Mobile’s Experience Beyond plan, representing savings of up to $1,900. Those on other plans can receive between $250 and $1,100 in trade-in credits depending on their service tier. The Z Fold 8 typically retails for $1,899.99.
T-Mobile’s promotion also extends to Samsung’s premium Z Fold 8 Ultra, which normally costs $2,099.99. Experience Beyond subscribers can save up to $1,900 with a qualifying trade-in, while other customers can take advantage of discounts ranging from $250 to $1,100 based on their plan. Similarly, Motorola’s Razr Fold qualifies for up to $1,100 off with the Experience Beyond plan, or reduced savings between $250 and $800 for other plan options.
These aggressive promotions highlight the competitive landscape for foldable technology ahead of Apple’s market entry, giving consumers multiple established alternatives at substantially reduced prices through T-Mobile’s carrier programs.
