Apple’s latest AirPods 4 are now available at a significant discount on Amazon, marked down to $99 from their original $129 retail price. The $30 reduction represents a 23% savings on the base model of these redesigned wireless earbuds, which have undergone substantial improvements from previous generations.
The most notable enhancement addresses a persistent problem with earlier open-ear AirPods models: their tendency to slip out during physical activity. Apple completely redesigned the earbuds, shortening the stems and adjusting the overall shape based on extensive ear-scanning data. This engineering approach allows the devices to remain securely positioned during workouts and movement without requiring deep insertion into the ear canal.
The new AirPods 4 incorporate Apple’s H2 chip, delivering enhanced audio quality alongside 3D Spatial Audio capabilities with head tracking functionality. The earbuds feature IP54 water and dust resistance ratings, making them suitable for intense exercise sessions and unpredictable weather. Additional upgrades include Voice Isolation for clearer phone calls and innovative Siri Interactions that enable hands-free call management through simple head gestures like nodding or shaking.
The charging case has undergone its own refinement, shrinking by over 10% compared to the previous AirPods 3 model. Apple has also transitioned from Lightning connectors to universal USB-C charging, aligning the earbuds with modern Apple devices and other electronics.
