FX has unveiled a teaser trailer for “American Horror Story: 13,” confirming the return of several beloved cast members from previous seasons of the anthology series. Jessica Lange, who has not appeared since 2018’s “Apocalypse,” makes a highly anticipated comeback as Constance Langdon from the original “Murder House” season. The trailer also features Evan Peters reprising multiple roles, including Kai Anderson from “Cult” and the iconic Rubber Man character from “Murder House.”
The new season represents an unprecedented crossover event, drawing characters and actors from across the franchise’s history. Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Emma Roberts return to their “Coven” roles, while additional familiar faces including John Carroll Lynch’s Twisty the Clown, Gabourey Sidibe’s Queenie, and Mena Suvari’s Elizabeth Short also appear in the teaser. Creator Ryan Murphy previously described the concept as an “Avengers”-level mash-up, with some actors even playing dual roles within the same scenes.
The 13-episode season will consist of half-hour installments rather than the traditional hour-long format. The premiere is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET on FX and Hulu, with three episodes launching on opening night. Episodes will continue rolling out weekly through October 29, with the finale airing on that date. The expansive cast also includes Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, and numerous other performers from the franchise’s history.
