Kiffin acknowledged that his team’s offensive weapons masked some shortcomings along the line. Leavitt’s mobility allowed him to escape pressure on several occasions, while running back Dilin Jones had to fight through contact at the point of attack more than once. The coach emphasized that relying on individual playmakers to overcome blocking mistakes becomes problematic when facing stronger opponents.
Left tackle Jordan Seaton earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week recognition following the contest. However, Kiffin identified the guard positions as requiring immediate attention before conference play begins. The offensive line unit, featuring relatively limited combined experience with only 93 total starts among its five starters, must elevate its consistency and technical execution in the coming weeks to sustain the team’s early success against stronger competition.
