Oklahoma State softball will welcome China’s national team to campus on Thursday evening for a joint practice session. The event at Cowgirl Stadium begins at 6 p.m. and offers free admission to the public, with seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Chinese National Team currently ranks eighth internationally according to the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The squad recently competed in the International Cup held in Oklahoma City during August, where they finished in fifth place and secured victories against Australia, Chinese Taipei, and American Samoa.
The Cowgirls are preparing for their fall season, which kicks off September 23 against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Oklahoma State concluded last season with a 41-17 record before falling to Nebraska in an NCAA Super Regional tournament matchup.
