Netflix has greenlit a fourth season of “Tires,” the workplace comedy centered on the chaotic operations of an auto repair business. The renewal announcement arrived shortly after the show’s third season debuted on the streaming platform, signaling strong viewer interest in the series.
The sitcom, created by Shane Gillis, John McKeever, and Steve Gerben, began as an independent venture when Gillis posted a pilot online in 2019. The trio subsequently produced a six-episode first season with their own financing before Netflix acquired distribution rights in 2024 and subsequently greenlit additional seasons. The program features an ensemble cast including Gillis, Gerben, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Thomas Haden Church, alongside appearances from numerous guest performers.
The latest season achieved the show’s strongest performance to date, ranking fifth on Netflix’s English television Top 10 list. Since its platform debut, the series has accumulated more than 45 million total views across all three seasons. Netflix’s comedy executive praised the production team’s distinctive approach, noting the growing audience enthusiasm and expressing confidence in the upcoming season.
The renewal aligns with Gillis’s expanded creative partnership with Netflix, which includes development opportunities for additional projects and comedy specials. Both Gillis and McKeever expressed enthusiasm about continuing the series, with the latter stating his affection for the show and its collaborative team.
