Ben Irving has been appointed as managing director, taking on a joint role alongside existing managing director Simon Gillis with responsibilities centered on scripted television development.
Irving brings substantial industry experience to the position, having most recently served as creative director of international scripted content at Fifth Season. In that capacity, he oversaw the company’s international television projects and established its U.K. operations. His career also includes a significant tenure at the BBC, where he served as acting director of drama and oversaw the network’s primetime programming, including acclaimed series such as “Sherlock,” “His Dark Materials,” and “Doctor Who.”
Helen Gregory is departing See-Saw after five years in a key creative role. During her tenure, Gregory contributed to the development and success of multiple notable projects, including “Heartstopper,” “Sweetpea,” and “Apple Cider Vinegar.” She also played an instrumental role in See-Saw’s strategic expansion, including the company’s integration with French media group Mediawan and the acquisition of rights to adapt “The Neverending Story” as a series of live-action films.
See-Saw’s co-founders and CEOs praised Irving’s appointment, highlighting his creative leadership abilities and established relationships within the industry. The company, which is part of the Mediawan-owned portfolio, continues to build its slate of premium scripted television content.
