Content creator Amelia Dimoldenberg has announced she will be concluding her long-running YouTube series “Chicken Shop Date” after more than a decade on air. The host shared the decision via Instagram on Thursday, reflecting on her journey with the show and expressing that while she believed it would remain part of her life indefinitely, she now feels ready to pursue new ventures.
The series, which launched in 2014 as a magazine column before transitioning to digital media, has evolved into a widely recognized cultural phenomenon. Throughout its 12-year run, Dimoldenberg has conducted entertaining interviews with numerous high-profile celebrities including Billie Eilish, Andrew Garfield, Cher, and Central Cee. Her YouTube channel has grown to over 4.4 million subscribers, with the show accumulating approximately 1 billion views during its tenth year.
Dimoldenberg described the series as her personal romantic comedy, expressing gratitude to audiences who followed her career. The final episodes will air soon. Beyond “Chicken Shop Date,” the creator has expanded her entertainment portfolio significantly, establishing her production company Dimz Inc., launching a youth academy in London, and developing multiple projects including a BBC series and a rom-com that she is writing and starring in.
