Pierre “P” Thomas, co-founder and CEO of hip-hop record label Quality Control Music, is hospitalized following a cardiac event. Label representatives confirmed his condition through a statement released on social media, stating that Thomas remains alive and is receiving ongoing medical treatment. The announcement was made to clarify conflicting reports that had circulated online regarding his status.
According to reports, Thomas is currently under care at a medical facility in Las Vegas, where he is being monitored in the intensive care unit. Quality Control’s leadership requested privacy for Thomas and his family during this time while expressing gratitude for the support and well-wishes from the public.
Quality Control Music represents a significant roster of artists including Lil Baby, Quavo, and JT, among others. Thomas co-manages the label alongside Kevin “Coach K” Lee. The company gained further prominence in 2023 when South Korean entertainment company HYBE acquired Quality Control in a transaction valued at approximately $300 million. Just this week, both Thomas and Lee were recognized as R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players by Billboard magazine.
