Alienware has unveiled what it describes as the industry’s first 39-inch 5K RGB Stripe tandem OLED gaming monitor, now available for purchase at Dell. The device carries a price tag of $1,099.99 and represents a significant addition to the ultrawide gaming monitor market following its initial reveal at Computex earlier in the year.
The monitor features an ultrawide 39-inch display with 5120 x 2160 resolution paired with an RGB Stripe tandem OLED panel. It delivers a standard 165Hz refresh rate at native resolution, with a specialized esports mode capable of reaching 330Hz. The device boasts an exceptionally fast 0.03ms response time regardless of the operating mode, providing competitive advantages for fast-paced gaming scenarios.
Additional features include a pronounced 1,500R curve design, minimalist bezels on all sides, and a proprietary pixel algorithm designed to enhance OLED panel durability. The monitor comes protected by a comprehensive three-year warranty that includes coverage for potential OLED burn-in issues. Connectivity options encompass DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), HDMI 2.1 FRL with eARC, USB-C with 90W power delivery capabilities, an integrated KVM switch, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The display also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and VESA AdaptiveSync technologies for enhanced compatibility with various gaming systems.
