The BFI London Film Festival has selected two prominent British producers to lead conversations at its 70th edition industry forum. Pippa Harris and James Wilson, both renowned for their work on award-winning films and television, will participate in individual spotlight sessions where they will reflect on their careers and discuss current creative endeavors.
Harris has established herself through collaborations with director Sam Mendes and co-founded Neal Street Productions with him. Her portfolio includes Oscar and BAFTA-winning films such as “1917” and “Hamnet,” alongside other notable works like “Revolutionary Road” and “Jarhead.” Her television credits encompass popular series including “Call the Midwife” and “Penny Dreadful,” with upcoming projects including “The Beatles” biopics in development.
Wilson has built a distinctive career through repeated collaborations with director Jonathan Glazer, producing the acclaimed films “The Zone of Interest” and “Under the Skin,” both of which garnered major awards recognition. His recent production credits include the Oscar-nominated documentary “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” and he has worked with other acclaimed filmmakers on projects spanning diverse genres and styles.
During their forum appearances, both producers will address how they navigate the evolving international film and television landscape while shepherding creative projects from conception to completion. The complete industry program schedule will be revealed in mid-September, with the festival taking place October 7-18.
