Legendary music producer Nile Rodgers is launching a new podcast series through iHeartMedia that explores transformative moments in artists’ careers. The show, titled “Before the Moment with Nile Rodgers,” debuted on September 15 and features conversations between Rodgers and notable musicians about the pivotal experiences that redirected their professional paths. Each episode examines the circumstances, relationships, and decisions that preceded these career-changing events.
The initial six-episode run includes appearances from British vocalist Sienna Spiro, Grammy and EGOT recipient John Legend, singer-songwriter Alex Warren, Grammy winner Miguel, and rock band Goo Goo Dolls, with additional guest artists planned for future releases. Episodes will roll out on a biweekly schedule through iHeartPodcasts, which distributes the series in partnership with Ruby Studios and Lincoln.
Rodgers brings considerable expertise to the program, having spent five decades shaping the music industry as a performer, songwriter, and producer. His accomplishments include induction into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, along with numerous Grammy Awards. He has collaborated with music icons including David Bowie, Madonna, Beyoncé, and Coldplay throughout his storied career.
According to Rodgers, the podcast demonstrates the diverse pathways available to aspiring musicians entering the industry.
