Streaming service Peacock has officially greenlit a ninth season of “Love Island USA,” continuing the show’s successful run. Ariana Madix will maintain her role as host for the upcoming season, building on the momentum from Season 8, which achieved record-breaking viewership numbers.
The Season 8 premiere drew 3.7 million viewers, marking Peacock’s most-watched television debut to date. The season has accumulated over 19 billion minutes viewed overall. Madix’s hosting work on the dating competition series has earned her an Emmy nomination, further establishing her presence in the role.
To mark the renewal announcement, Peacock released preview footage from the Season 8 reunion special. The episode features winning couple Bryce and Trinity alongside other contestants at a live taping held at Universal Studios Hollywood. The preview indicates lingering tension among cast members, particularly involving Sol and Melanie, suggesting drama one month after contestants departed the villa.
The reunion airs Monday evening at 6 p.m. PT with co-hosting duties shared between Madix and Andy Cohen. Additionally, Peacock has renewed the franchise’s spin-off series “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” and “Love Island Games,” both scheduled to premiere in 2027.
