Zee Studios and actor Kiran Abbavaram have unveiled their upcoming mythological action-fantasy project titled “Indraputra.” The pan-Indian production, helmed by director Srikanth Puppala in his feature directorial debut, will commence principal photography this October. The narrative centers on a protagonist navigating the philosophical conflict between dharma—the Hindu principle of righteous duty and moral order—and adharma, its violation.
Abbavaram, known for films including “SR Kalyanamandapam” and recent releases “K-Ramp” and “Chennai Love Story,” described the role as a significant departure from his previous work. He emphasized that the character demands both emotional complexity and physical transformation, aligning with his artistic aspirations. The actor expressed gratitude to the production team for entrusting him with the lead role.
The film is produced by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, with Keerthan serving as co-producer. Puppala brings experience from his work on acclaimed productions including “Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1,” where he served as first assistant director. The project is positioned as the inaugural installment of an expansive mythological universe, with supporting cast members, technical crew details, and release information forthcoming.
