HBO has revealed several new cast members joining its adaptation of “Harry Potter” for the second season. Lenny Rush will take on the role of Dobby, while Billy Barratt has been cast as Tom Riddle. The network also announced a change in the role of Ginny Weasley, with Bonnie Hill replacing original cast member Gracie Cochrane, who departed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The second season will be based on the second book in J.K. Rowling’s fantasy series and is currently in pre-production at Leavesden Studios near London. The inaugural season is set to debut on HBO on December 25. The show features an ensemble cast including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, alongside established actors such as John Lithgow, Nick Frost, and Janet McTeer.
The television series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes. The project is based on Rowling’s beloved source material and is a collaboration between HBO, Brontë Film and TV, and Warner Bros. Television. The show aims to bring the magical world of Hogwarts to audiences through a fresh adaptation of the classic novels.
