Jared Kushner, serving as an adviser to the Trump administration, plans to travel to the region next week to address disagreements surrounding a proposed Gaza settlement framework. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already publicly rejected the 15-point plan, which would have required Hamas to surrender its weapons to a newly formed Palestinian administrative body.
Hamas officials have expressed frustration with the current situation, calling for increased international pressure on Israeli leadership to comply with the proposed roadmap. Meanwhile, military operations continue across Gaza, with Israeli forces conducting airstrikes and ground operations that have resulted in additional casualties, according to local health authorities.
Netanyahu has stated that Israeli military forces will maintain their presence in the territory until Hamas is completely disarmed, signaling continued resistance to the proposed agreement.
