Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced plans to release a comprehensive Blu-ray collection featuring all five seasons of the acclaimed series “Hacks.” The complete box set will become available during the holiday shopping season and will feature previously unreleased supplementary content, though specific details about these additions have not yet been disclosed by the studio.
This marks the first time the entire series has been packaged together as a single release, though individual seasons have previously been sold on disc format. The show’s creators and executive producers Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky expressed enthusiasm about the physical media release, noting that the collection will include blooper reels and deleted scenes alongside the complete series.
“Hacks” recently concluded its final season, which achieved a historic milestone by receiving 24 Emmy nominations for a comedy series—the most ever awarded in that category. The show has accumulated 86 total nominations and 12 Emmy wins throughout its run, including the Outstanding Comedy Series award in 2024. Star Jean Smart has earned an Emmy for each of the show’s five seasons, positioning her to tie with Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the second-highest number of acting Emmys among female performers.
