Gal Gadot has spoken out about the cancellation of “Wonder Woman 3” and other recent shifts within DC Studios leadership. During an appearance on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the actress revealed that studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran initially assured her they would move forward with developing the third installment with her in the lead role after taking control of the DC Universe.
Gadot’s account contrasts with previous reports suggesting the project was never formally in development under the new leadership. She recalled that Gunn and Safran told her the film would be developed and that she had nothing to worry about regarding her future with the character. However, those plans ultimately never materialized.
The actress acknowledged that the way the studio handled both her departure and Henry Cavill’s exit as Superman fell short of professional standards. She noted that Patty Jenkins, who directed the previous Wonder Woman films, was similarly affected by the transition. Despite her criticism of the process, Gadot maintained a diplomatic stance, emphasizing that all involved parties are adults capable of moving forward and that she holds no ill will toward Gunn and Safran for pursuing their own creative vision for the studio.
