The new season takes an imaginative turn with its cast of characters, who are personified toys with distinct personalities and abilities. The ensemble includes Ol’ Clyde Horsey, a rocking horse weaponized with arrow-wielding rails; Cutie Pie, a Brooklyn-accented kewpie doll; Wyon, a battle axe-wielding lion plushie; Tinsley, a toy soldier; a cracked porcelain doll; and Calypso, a fluffy bunny. According to the season’s synopsis, Toylight follows a group of toys defending an enchanted realm against the fading imagination of a dying child. The creative team behind the critically acclaimed Crown of Candy—known for blending fairy tale settings with dramatic darkness—will bring similar emotional depth to this toy-centered adventure.
