Last season at Oregon State, his second with the program, Hankerson demonstrated productive offensive capabilities, accumulating 1,086 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 123 yards.
This situation reflects an emerging trend in college sports, with another former Seahawks preseason player, running back T.J. Harden, similarly waived and entering the transfer portal after receiving the same court-ordered eligibility extension.
