A24 has released a new trailer for Club Kid, the directorial debut of Jordan Firstman, following the film’s success at the Cannes Film Festival. The queer drama centers on Peter, a New York City club promoter portrayed by Firstman, whose hedonistic lifestyle takes an unexpected turn when a young child arrives claiming to be his biological son. This revelation forces the protagonist to navigate the challenges of parenthood while immersed in a world of excess and substance use.
The film features an ensemble cast including Cara Delevingne, Diego Calva, Miss Benny, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Colleen Camp. Production credits include Academy Award winner Alex Coco, who served as a producer alongside Galen Core. The project represents Firstman’s first venture into feature filmmaking, with the actor also handling writing duties for the screenplay.
A24 secured distribution rights after winning a competitive bidding process against major studios including Focus Features, Netflix, Searchlight, and Mubi. The film made its debut at Cannes in May, where it received an extended seven-minute standing ovation from audiences. Following a screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Club Kid will arrive in theaters on November 6.
