Keshet International has announced a new eight-episode action-thriller titled “The Escape,” featuring Israeli actor Yehuda Levi in a leading role. The series, known as “Ha’Bricha” in Hebrew, follows a man who escapes from a religious cult in the Colombian jungle but must leave his wife and child behind. After his escape, he partners with a former Mossad operative, played by Levi, to orchestrate a daring rescue mission.
The production brings together an international cast and creative team. Ido Tako portrays the cult escapee, while Mark Ivanir plays the charismatic cult leader and father figure. The series was created by Ariel Cohen and directed by Yoav and Doron Paz, with filming taking place across Colombia, Georgia, and Israel. The narrative intensifies when the cult’s connection to a drug cartel emerges, threatening to spark a larger conflict.
“The Escape” explores themes of family bonds and personal liberation against the backdrop of high-stakes action sequences. The show is produced by Keshet Media Group in partnership with Reisdor Productions and SE Films for the Israeli broadcaster Keshet 12. It will debut in Israel later this year, while Keshet International handles global distribution of both the completed series and format rights to international markets.
