Yeah Yeah Yeahs has released a live album capturing performances from London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Titled “Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall,” the project documents the band’s 2025 tour stop at the iconic venue. A digital version featuring 13 tracks is currently available, with physical copies and a deluxe digital edition set to arrive on October 23rd.
The recordings showcase specially arranged material performed with string accompaniment and acoustic instrumentation, prepared during an intensive rehearsal period earlier this year. According to frontwoman Karen O, the band felt compelled to create the live performance as a way to connect with audiences during a significant moment in time. The Royal Albert Hall marked only the third show of the tour, making the recording particularly meaningful for the group.
Accompanying the audio release is a 22-minute black-and-white film directed by Barnaby Clay, now available through the Criterion Channel. The visual companion aims to capture the intimate and ethereal quality of the live performances. The film will be screened at select theaters across the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and the United States beginning in late September, with some venues pairing screenings with classic films chosen by the band.
