Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow have jointly announced a promotional teaser for their upcoming fantasy comedy film “Nayyi Navelli,” which will arrive in Indian theaters next month. The production features actress Yami Gautam Dhar in a leading role described as a departure from her previous work. The teaser preview introduces audiences to a domestic setting where a family member makes an unusual accusation against the protagonist, setting the stage for the film’s fantastical narrative.
The footage showcases an array of eccentric supporting characters and chaotic moments centered on Gautam Dhar’s performance. Director Balaji Mohan helms the project from a screenplay penned by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, with composer G.V. Prakash Kumar contributing the musical score. Producer Aanand L Rai, who founded Colour Yellow, leads the production alongside Sharma, bringing together a diverse ensemble cast for the venture.
“Nayyi Navelli” is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16, strategically positioned to capitalize on the Dussehra festival period. Colour Yellow has established a reputation for developing distinctive narratives with compelling character development, having previously produced films including the “Tanu Weds Manu” series, “Tumbbad,” and “Atrangi Re.” Gautam Dhar’s recent screen credits include appearances in “Article 370” and “Haq,” along with a cameo role in the successful film “Dhurandhar: The Revenge.”
