Captain Jodie Bartle expressed the team’s determination to achieve their complete objective. “The treble is definitely my goal and I think all the girls would agree,” she stated, emphasizing the squad’s commitment to maintaining their status as Wales’ top team. Wrexham will open their title defense at home against Aberystwyth Town, with the match among four opening fixtures scheduled for Sunday.
Cardiff City will aim to reclaim the championship under new manager Noah Bushby, who replaces longtime boss Iain Darbyshire. The Bluebirds face a south Wales derby against Swansea City to begin their campaign. Midfielder Lily Billingham acknowledged disappointment over last season’s league position but expressed renewed determination to return to the top.
Other contenders include The New Saints, reinforced by summer signings, Cardiff Met returning to the top flight after winning the second division, and Swansea seeking their first silverware in four seasons. Barry Town aims to break into the top four for the first time, while Aberystwyth hope to improve after finishing bottom last term.
