A new British horror thriller has assembled an impressive ensemble cast for its upcoming production. “Skag & Bone” will feature Woody Norman, known for his acclaimed role in “C’mon C’mon,” alongside Malachi Kirby from “Small Axe,” Tuppence Middleton of “Downton Abbey,” Conrad Khan, and Kola Bokinni from “Ted Lasso.” The film aims to blend the intensity of urban crime narratives with supernatural horror elements, drawing comparisons to popular series “Top Boy” and the horror film “Talk to Me.”
Director Conor Boru will helm the project, collaborating with screenwriter Ed Hartland on their second feature film together. The story follows Norman’s character Younger, a 16-year-old navigating life on the Stonemore Estate after his mother suffers a stroke. Caught between local drug lord Anton and a mysterious preacher, Younger must confront both criminal forces and a terrifying supernatural presence known as the Skag & Bone Man that preys on residents of the estate.
Production company Featuristic Films will produce the film, with Julien Loeffler and James Kermack leading the effort. Talent agency UTA has joined to package the project, arrange financing, and secure North American distribution rights. The cast brings considerable credentials, including BAFTA nominees and award-winning performers drawn from acclaimed television and film productions.
