Washington’s football offense delivered its most dynamic performance yet during Tuesday’s practice session under head coach Jedd Fisch. The standout moment came when wide receiver Chris Lawson caught a 70-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Elijah Brown on a vertical route, capping off what has been an impressive fall camp for the sophomore.
Several other offensive weapons made significant contributions throughout the day. Christian Moss, a transfer from Kennesaw State, recorded a 13-yard touchdown reception and later broke free for a 60-yard gain during team drills. Tight end Baron Naone also impressed, securing a 15-yard touchdown in seven-on-seven competition. The defensive unit managed to record two interceptions during team periods, with linebacker Buddah Al-Uqdah and safety Paul Mencke Jr. each recording picks.
On the injury front, defensive tackle Kai McClendon participated in individual drills for the first time since transferring from Mississippi State as he continues recovering from a spring ACL injury. Cornerback Ramonz Adams remained sidelined in a non-contact jersey, allowing freshman Elijah Durr additional first-team opportunities alongside fellow freshman Jeron Jones.
The Huskies will continue their preparation with four more consecutive practice days before Saturday’s mock game. Wednesday’s session is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. as Washington looks to maintain the offensive momentum displayed during Tuesday’s explosive workout.
