Kannada cinema star Upendra has been confirmed to join the cast of “Zombie Reddy Nxt Lvl,” the upcoming sequel to the 2021 hit film “Zombie Reddy.” People Media Factory made the announcement on actor Teja Sajja’s birthday, revealing the complete cast and creative team behind the project. The action-comedy adventure also marks the South Indian cinema debut of actress Shanaya Kapoor, known for her role in “Tu Yaa Main.”
Teja Sajja returns to reprise his lead role as the franchise’s zombie-fighting protagonist. Director Suparn S. Varma, acclaimed for his work on Prime Video’s “The Family Man” Season 2 and Netflix’s “Rana Naidu,” helms the sequel based on a story by Prasanth Varma, who directed the original film. The screenplay was written by Hussain Dalal, Prasanth Varma, and Suparn S. Varma, with composer Gowra Hari creating the musical score.
The production represents an ambitious global venture, with plans for theatrical release across seven languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Nepali, and Japanese. People Media Factory producers T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad emphasized the film’s elevated scale and international scope. The sequel is scheduled for release in 2027, promising audiences an expanded zombie universe with heightened stakes and spectacle.
