The University of Connecticut women’s basketball program has unveiled an ambitious nonconference slate for the 2026-27 season, featuring matchups against several powerhouse programs. The announcement comes after the Huskies achieved an undefeated regular season in 2025-26, marking their first such accomplishment in nearly a decade.
The schedule includes a rematch with South Carolina from last year’s Final Four, as well as contests against traditional rivals Notre Dame and Tennessee. The Huskies will also take on elite competition in the form of Michigan, LSU, and Duke. Beginning with three preseason exhibition games in October, UConn will officially open its season on November 2 against Cornell at home.
A significant portion of the nonconference opponents participated in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, with four teams reaching the Elite Eight round. The Huskies will split their nonconference games between home contests, away trips, and neutral-site competitions held at major arenas including Mohegan Sun, TD Garden, Barclays Center, and Bridgestone Arena.
Notably, this marks the first time in at least a decade that UConn will complete its entire nonconference schedule before the new year ends. Complete tip-off times, television designations, and venue confirmations for individual games are expected to be announced at a later date.
