Tubi announced the upcoming launch of “Bite Size Terror,” a new short-form horror anthology series slated for fall 2026. The 10-episode program will be part of the platform’s Terror on Tubi Hub and marks a collaboration between executive producer Peter Rice and GJMD Studio.
The anthology aims to explore diverse horror subgenres, spanning supernatural elements, occult themes, body horror, dark comedy, monsters, and the macabre. Each episode presents characters confronting unexpected darkness while seeking connection, control, or solutions to their problems, with emotional themes such as grief, ambition, intimacy, and vulnerability serving as gateways into unsettling narratives.
The project represents Tubi’s expanding strategy around short-form content consumption. Adam Lewinson, the platform’s Chief Content Officer, emphasized that the series would highlight emerging horror filmmakers while contributing to Tubi’s existing catalog of over 53 million hours of horror content. Executive producer Peter Rice noted the success of horror shorts in launching new writer-director talent, with previous efforts spawning nine feature debuts.
The series is produced by GJMD studio with additional executive producers including David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and David Moore. This move follows Tubi’s 2024 launch of “Scenes,” a social media-style feed format designed to compete with platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
