Apple has increased the cost of its Apple TV streaming service, marking another price adjustment for the tech company this year. Beginning Friday, subscribers will pay $14.99 monthly or $119 annually, up from the previous rates of $12.99 per month or $99 per year. The change took effect immediately, preventing existing customers from renewing at the older pricing.
The price adjustment also impacts the Apple One Individual bundle, which combines Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and cloud storage. This package now costs $21.95 monthly instead of $19.95. This represents the second significant price increase for the service in recent years, following a $3 monthly bump implemented last August when the platform was rebranded from Apple TV+ to simply Apple TV.
Despite the rising costs, Apple TV distinguishes itself through exclusive original programming rather than third-party content distribution. The platform hosts popular series including Ted Lasso and Severance, along with live Major League Soccer broadcasts. Since its 2019 launch at $4.99 monthly, the service has tripled in price.
Apple’s latest subscription increase reflects a broader pricing trend affecting multiple product categories. Hardware devices like MacBooks and iPads saw increases up to $500 earlier this summer, while Apple Music raised rates by $1 monthly. Industry reports suggest iPhones will face price hikes at the company’s upcoming September event, potentially leaving few Apple products untouched by 2026 price adjustments.
