Offensively, Toronto generated eight hits but lacked the timely hitting needed to mount a comeback. George Springer provided the team’s only significant offensive moment with a two-run home run, accounting for all three of the club’s runs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went hitless in three at-bats, and Daz Cameron also failed to record a hit in four attempts. The team managed just one hit with runners in scoring position.
The Blue Jays will look to rebound when the Seattle Mariners visit Rogers Centre for their next matchup, with Dylan Cease scheduled to take the mound for Toronto.
