Under the partnership terms, music from Believe and its digital distribution subsidiary TuneCore will be incorporated into Suno’s newly developed music models created in collaboration with the industry. Those who opt in will receive compensation for their contributions, with protections ensuring their rights are safeguarded and their works benefit from Suno’s training safeguards and transparency measures.
The deal represents a notable shift from Believe’s previous stance. The company had blocked distribution of Suno’s existing models in April 2026, but the new partnership reflects changing circumstances. Music created through Suno’s industry partnership model will now be eligible for distribution via Believe and TuneCore, expanding opportunities for independent artists to access creative tools and revenue streams.
Despite these industry developments, Suno remains embroiled in legal disputes. The company continues ongoing litigation with Universal and Sony over copyright concerns, and was recently sued by Grammy-winning artist Jason Isbell and others over unauthorized use of artists’ identities in generated music.
