Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze has collaborated with eyewear brand Warby Parker to revive four discontinued frame styles that he personally favored. The director, who has been a devoted customer of the New York-based company for over a decade, approached the brand with a proposal to reissue his preferred designs that were no longer available for purchase.
The collection features four distinct styles spanning multiple years of Warby Parker’s history. The Percey in Rose Crystal with Riesling, the Begley in Magnolia Green, the Locke in Layered Cacao Crystal, and the Yoojin in Brioche Tortoise with Riesling make up the reissue lineup. Prices for the frames range between $95 and $175, with each pair including a personalized note from Jonze and organizational stickers for frame cases.
To accompany the launch, Warby Parker enlisted designer Humberto Leon to create promotional imagery featuring the frames paired with clothing from Jonze’s personal wardrobe. The campaign showcases several individuals wearing the reissued styles, including skater Jerry Hsu, model Jane Moseley, and fellow filmmakers. The collection is now available through Warby Parker’s website, though availability is limited as stock sells through.
