Ron Stone Jr., the brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s wife Ronika, has signed with the Denver Broncos, the team announced Tuesday, August 25. The timing is notable, as Love faced off against Denver just days earlier in a preseason matchup where the Packers dominated 33-13 on August 21. Love orchestrated a touchdown drive during his limited playing time in that contest.
The 26-year-old Stone, a defensive end standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 257 pounds, is pursuing his first NFL roster spot after spending the last two seasons in the United Football League. Playing for the Columbus Aviators during the 2026 UFL season, Stone recorded 5½ sacks and five tackles for loss across 10 games. He will participate in Denver’s final preseason game against Minnesota on Friday, August 28, as he attempts to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
Stone brings family NFL pedigree to his pursuit, as his father Ron Stone Sr. enjoyed a 13-season career as a three-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman and won two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s. The younger Stone’s close relationship with Love was evident when he officiated his sister’s wedding to the Packers quarterback last summer in California.
